Since, in monogamous relationships, more often than not it's the husband
who's the last to know what's going on, I wonder; does the same apply in
poly <wry g>

In a poly relationship there would be no hidden behaviour between
partners (else it becomes cheating) and thus the quesion is moot.

I'm not talking about other relationships, but rather who's social
gathering are we going to this weekend, or what the mother-in-law has
planned as a surprise for relativee or things like that

It's a male / female thing. For example:

he "any thing I should know?"

she " blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah I bought a new coat blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah my mother is comming to visit blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah there's no petrol left in the car blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah."

he "er ... ok".

he "any thing I should know?"
Well, that's a pretty open ended question. If said to a male I'd expect
pretty much the same sort of response, but the content of the 'noise'
would likely be different (when talking to my mother on the phone, which
typically takes several hours per call, each of us blame the other for
the amount of 'rubbish' but in fact we are about equal, it's just that
most of what I say is 'blah' to her and most of what she says is 'blah'
to me).

Two sexes separated by a common language, to misquote...

(But there is evidence that woment tend to be more 'practical' in what
they remember. Whether this is inbuilt or learned, however, is as
undetermined as everything else in the nature/nurture debate...)

"Darling, I know you've been suspecting something strange recently, and I
have to tell you; I've decided I don't want to see other people any more"?

"Nobody tells me anything!" is a basic male plea, I've heard that it's
the case even in male-dominated systems with harems...

Actually, of course, the male /is/ told things but either isn't
listening or forgets <g>...
